[ QUOTE ]
I posted this yesterday in the Gibbs/Harrell section and it was deleted for some reason. Cool car. James [/ QUOTE ] I thought so, I had a reply in that post. Agreed, very cool wagon. ![]()

Kind of interesting where the market is on these old "race wagons", even record setting ones, with this one at 23 and Mo's Pontiac can be bought for 20.

I saw it on eBay the other day too but didn't post it knowing it's another cool car seemingly caught up in website politics?
.Anyone else remember that car on the Fleer Gum card sets?. ![]() ~ Pete

Neat ride. The E-bay ads states their is a letter authorizing the use of the DH name. is it transferable?? if so is there a fee? is so how much?
How does that compare to this qoute then: [ QUOTE ] When a car is sold with a name on it , It seems to give the new owner the right to think he can use the name on anything he wants also. [/ QUOTE ] Does THINK mean the new owner thinks they can continue to use the name as well or is a new authroization needed which would make the first one null and void after its sold for a fee of course. Sure am glad Chevy doesnt do it everytime one of their cars get resold as we would all be out some hard earned $$

A really cool piece of drag racing history, with little interest. Looks like they should have taken the $80,000 that was bid on the car at Mecum. After only reaching $23,000 last time on Ebay, this time stalled at $20,000.
Though part of the cars incredible history, the owner may want to consider taking the Dick Harrell logo off the car and not mentioning that part in the ad and see if that helps. I am guessing would be bidders are fearful of the dreaded phone call/letter from the DH camp. |
