Thanks guys. Bob did a really nice job on the article. It's a fun car & easy for the old man to handle. Just put it in D for drag & punch it.

Great car, Mike. Saw it last year and it's a beauty. The year I got my license to drive. That would have been fun to drive to high school.

How nice of an article could it be when he constantly calls the car a Lemans with the T-37 package?

It's funny because it's been almost 25 years that HO T-37s have been seen in magazines, yet no one can get it right.

Additionally, with the rarity of non-GTO HOs, I would have thought the writer would have mentioned how many were built, which makes the car special beyond its racing pedigree.

------So,,,Diego,,,What should it be called??? Not calling you out or anything, as I really dont know. Is it a Tempest??? And here I think of myself as somewhat of a Pontiac guy, although I sort of lean towards bigger Indians, myself.......Bill S the Grand Prix fan!!!

It is a T-37, which ended up replacing the Tempest for 1971. (I'm not getting into the 1970.5 aspect of the T-37.) A Lemans is a higher trim level, topped by the Lemans Sport . . . and the GTO. There is no "package" in regards to the T-37, unless you're talking about the GT-37, which was a performance option on the T-37 that was a rebirth of the Pontiac "ET" that ended being The Judge in 1969.

So, in other words, the car is simply a 1971 T-37 with the 455HO.
