Here's the man himself, Ben Wenzel, B/Stock. Same class as many of the L78 big block cars. This car was one of the badest Z28 Camaros in the land and is still bad to the bone!

Old Reliable Stickler SS/F Z28 Camaro, Sept 1968 just after winning the Super Stock All Star Meet. I followed this car in high school and it dominated the ranks of Super Stock in 1968. The Jenkins-Strickler team was loved by all Chevy enthusiasts.

Ha ! I visited a guy in Linköping (close to Mantorp Park Raceway) the other day to buy his dragracing-photos from the seventies. I hoped to mabye find a pic of the "Convincer II" among them, but instead I found this one of my 327 Chevy II. This one should be from 1976 or possibly 1977.

If you look in the second set of pictures,on pg8/photo80, there is a pic of what apperes to be the old Alt & James corvette.Behind it you will see a black 68 Z28. A friend bought this car new in Dayton,Oh. Was the first black Z i had seen.He had put the cross ram carbs on it as well.That is where i got the idea for my black cross ram 69 Z28.I keep looking at these old pictures hopping to see some pics of my old cars.Thanks again Bill for the great photos.
