Hi Rob,
Based on information I have collected from other Los Angeles built 68s around this vin (approx 06B 06C), I can tell that the engine date stamp does not coincide with the vin on the block. All the big blocks I have in the list within 2,000 vins before and after 8L163401 are dated close together. The one on this block (May 24th) is fairly close, but is not what it should be.
