Kurt, Im not sure about the plain HEMI Emblems. Ive seen pictures of 1967 Hemi GTX's with the plain HEMI on the lower section of the front fenders but I have seen more that say 426 HEMI on the 1967 that anything else. Mopar also used an HP2 emblem on some of the early Hemi cars that you rarely see anymore. These were correct as well. The ride you took in that GTX sounds like it made a serious impression on you.
