Went to the Jackson Outlets show this past Friday and saw four new Challengers there; three orange and one black. Nice cars but didn't really blow me away; they are much bigger and bulkier than I would have expected. Can anyone tell me why the new cars have started to be so "slab sided"? The Challenger is this way and the new Camaro has the slab sided look.

Dave - concur on "slab-sided"
. They need some stripes (i.e. 70's R/T stripes would be nice on the Chally) to break up the voluminous real estate on the sides of those cars.

Just saw a brand new orange Challenger SRTS today with a Hemi. It was at a local Harley Shop I stopped at to get some bike parts.. A Dodge salesman brought it up to the Harley dealer to show his buddy who works there. I guess they just arrived at his dealership. I was fortunate enough to look over the car. The salesman told me the same thing about the price of those things, 41K sticker price but dealer selling them well over sticker..
The car was a bad machine!! I was surprised how quiet it was at idle. You almost couldn't hear it running.. Rich
