After I bought the car with the help of Colin who told me about the car being available I was able to locate the original owner and second owner who sold it to Joel Rosen. Joel sold it to Dr. Timken. No one had previously been able to find the two previous owners, it took me over two months of intensive searching to find the guys.

I wouldn't own it without the help of Colin he made the entire deal happen. Here is another attachment.

Interestingly enough I learned from the first two owners the car originally came with rally wheels. And recently I found black and white pictures of it when Joel owned it and sure enough rally wheels on the rear. Otherwise the car was restored exactly like it was sold new. And it had MT tires on all four wheels. Another attachment.

Darren...you're probably right on the red one's being '71s...I was going off of memory, I should stop doing that!
Les thanks for the pics of the car...when Colin said he was going to get it I was hoping to catch it at his place in Milwaukee and see it in person...now as luck would have it I won't be able to see it in person at the reunion either...darn it!...so I'm hoping some takes a bunch of good pics of it!

My lord I just wet myself..

Les can you post the black and white?? What size Cragars are running out back? Are they 8s? I am so excited to see this car in person. Thanks for bringing it! Damn, I want to bring my car now. Just to be parked a few feet from it.

Scott Tiemann has the old black and white photo's. I hope to pick them up next week. The car is at Colin's and is going to a show in Milwaukee next weekend then the SCR 11, then to Chevy vettefest. It is a long and complicated story and some things need to be kept private but Colin acquired the car and I acquired it from/through/with, him and Scott. Both were instrumental in getting it from Dr. Timken otherwise it was going to auction.

Suffice it to say were it not for Colin I would never have been able to buy the car. I owe Colin a big debt of gratitude for him giving me the opportunity to buy this car. I am out of warehouse space until I sell some cars(Fords) so it is staying at Colin's for awhile.

Rick,
Not sure where Scott obtained the mats? Who is Donnie I can look through the receipts? Remember I am still a baby Chevy guy with only two Camaro's (and trying to buy one more soon) and don't know all the players yet?

Here you go Les, Donnie's mats

The ones in your Camaro look a little different but they may have been the first run that he had done. I just received the second run and they are beautiful. Thanks Donnie!

What a sweet car! Need a copilot?
