Default Re: Shot's from York US 30

[b] I was lucky to meet some real nice people / members while I was there.
Spoke with Helen for a couple of minutes - what a friendly sweet woman!

Also got to spend some time with Verne, he was with his buddy Ronnie who has a beautiful / fast
409 race /show car. As good as this car looks you wouldn't believe how fast and regularly
campaigned this car is!

This '61 348 tri-power car was found on a lawn in Ohio about 15/20 years ago and purchased for $1800.
The owner who was just starting to restore it, was not that familiar with 348/409's and was lucky to find Verne. It was amazing to watch Verne go over the car and point out everything to him. I sure in the time
he spent with Verne he learned more about this car then since he bought it decades ago!

This old A/FXer was in the parking lot sporting a $40k price tag. Looking over the tire you could see it had most of a wedge motor. It was campaigned as Soul Shaker in '65 and God Father in '70
