It's a 327 car but the gentelman that owns it is a total joy to talk to. He lives here in town and takes the car out to some local spots here. Heres a write up on this car

I remember reading about them in Canadian Track and Traffic back in 67. They tested a big block, and I may still have that magazine somewhere. But now I'm wondering about this car I saw at our cruise a couple of weeks ago.

Although it doesn't have the wheels on it, it's possible that the person restored it as a stock Camaro, not knowing it was a Panther. If indeed it really is a Panther?
This car stood out for me, maybe it triggered a memory.

LOL no no It's ok the first time I saw it I freaked lol. To see the car in person is just mind blowing I will get more pics of it and talk to the owner for more info about it.

Interesting...
Were any Black Panthers known to have been shipped as Vinyl Top cars?. And is this one originaly a VT and gold interior car?.
If an original Canadian car, GM docs would surely be the best place to start and see if a Gorries' dealer code delivered car?.
If not it's still possible but tougher to find out much less prove?.

The original owner SB B'Panther car shown in this thread is the only real one I've ever known of.. I've heard of others but never seen anything that looks like it may be genuine?.

I always wonder why whenever there's an article on these cars does the ZL1 thing come up?.
Although very well connected, it's doubtful Gorries ever put a ZL1 engine in one of these cars when new?.
Perhaps someone's memory is confusing L89 aluminum heads w/ a ZL1 block?.
And you'd think the quoted 435 Hp would indicate a 'Vette tripower engine anyway??.

Good ol' Track and Traffic!. If you find your mag Striper, maybe you can lay a few scanned pages on us here?.
Keep and eye peeled for an article on Toronto's Mainway Ford dealer Mustang SuperCar too, the '67 Stallion..

T&T and Wheelspin were the greatest Canadian mags ever!. Sad to hear Dizzy Dean passed away a few months ago..
