The main difference between repro and original is thickness. The repop casting was made from an original emblem. They must have allowed for more metal when poured. The paint is tester model car colors. My wife paints them as needed. She does nicer detail work than originals. The blue color changes depending on whats in stock at the hobby shop. They also come in black as a dealer emblem. Earl
