I would rip that whole car apart looking for a build sheet.

That would be your winning lottery ticket
good luck

Try looking behind the backseat first, top & bottom and look inside both very closely, then check behind the door panels, then the front seats too if you do decide to look for one.
It is stunning just the way it is.

Cool car! Not very many Copo Chevelles found. Can you post a pic of the rear end cast date and tube stamp when you get a chance?

Thanks.

Great find.

Just looking at those pics, I feel like I've seen it before somewhere.

I'll have to rummage through my Super Chevy Show pics from years ago. That paint scheme looks familiar.

I agree...I have seen it somewhere before too, I think? Or maybe just deja vu...

Cool car either way!

OK, I'll go out on a limb and disagree with just about everyone. Personally, I think that car would look a gazillion times better painted garnet red/black top than it would with the pink/purple/ribbon job on it now. Garnet Red is a bad ass color, and looks super on a Chevelle. Note that I'm not knocking the car, Its very cool as-is no doubt, but the current paint job ain't anything I'm getting warm and fuzzy over, or one I'd feel bad about stripping off for a fresh coat of garnet. JMO.

I got to agree with Joe........
I like the way it is, but, if it's proven to be a copo....
Garnet red would be awesome, especially since there's not many of them out there.

Its been a while, but I've finally had time to get her up in the air to snap a pic of the tube stamp.

Not sure how clear the pic is, but it appears to be KQ 0518B... which I assume means May 18th? Was it stamped on the assembly line, or when the axle was made?

The build date on my trim tag is 05D, which I think is the 4th week of May? So they appear to jive with each other if my assumptions are right.
