I too was there that night. I'd say 800 cars./ The lawn was full. I was in a 65 Fairlane

The directions all include the Palisades Parkway - you can't take a trailer onto the Palisades. Any alternate routes from 287 in NJ? (92 miles is a bit of a stretch with the 4.10 gears)

I would think that if you get yourself over to Rt 9W, right along the west side of the Hudson River you can drive north right up to Bear Mtn Park. Cruise days are Wed's late afternoon, early eve's and only in good weather. Last 3-4 hours.

You can take 287 to 9W and 9W will bring you right to Bear Mountain when you get to the entrance there is a sign for the cruise. People start gettinr ther about 4 PM there are no lights, but plenty of food, drinks, beer all being sold and BBQ.
