How long has he owned the car? Maybe he's the type who will be bored with it in two years and you can pick it up or make some $$ off of the new owner. Wouldn't be a crazy idea to keep it all together for the future rebuild. What did they build, ~1200 '72 Zs? It's not 1978 anymore...

There were 2575 Z28's built in '72 - rarer then that though - there were only 942 Camaro's built with an M21!

All, I agree I think the guy is crazy not to put it back to original even though it has a CE code. Would still be quite valuable, but hey if he is not going to do so then I need a good engine for my 71 Z28 which has long since been missing it's engine and trans.


And it looks like I could help some guys out with the parts I won't be needing.

Not that he "needed" to keep it stock (even though being low mile, clean and what it is pushes hard that way) but keeping the original/stock parts is the biggie.

The batteries do not last long in this camera and I get tired of resetting the date and time
