I bet it´s this one, owned by C.K Spurlock of Hendersonville, Tennessee in 1990. He had this one and the L.A COPO, and lots of other BB Chevrolets.

They spell it "Ed Stein" in the article.

I know right where Stinn's dealership once stood. I wish I would have taken pictures of it before they tore down the building in the late 90s. Now there is a Big Lots Dept. Store & Aldis Grocery Store where it was.. They sold some performance/COPO cars back in the day. I talked with the old service manager from there who said Ed was really into those kinds of cars.. I have some really neat dealership memorabilia from there... Here is Ed himself in this commercial circa 1980s....

Here is the guys name that Mike sold the car to. Bill Anderson. It was sold in 1973 not 1972. Does anyone know how to get ahold of C.K. Spurlock? I could find out very quickly if it is the car or not. I have the pictures and tried to upload them without any sucess. If someone would help me I would post them. Thanks, Jeff

If C.K. Surlock's car has it's original drive train than this is not the car. I know for a fact that the motor and trans were long gone. The original rear end may still have been in the car but very doughtful. Thanks, Jeff

The reply from Kurt indicate that Ed Stinn sold several red body/black vinyltop COPO Camaros. Can you clarify that Kurt ?
A previous owner may have put a restamped engine and trans in the car and sold it on to a new owner without telling him. So C.K. mabye actually thought it was the original drivetrain and therefore gave the author the wrong information. It has happened before. ![]()

I will email the pictures to mockingbird812 tonight when I get home from work or tomorrow at the latest. Thanks! I just got off the phone with C.K. and he said he sold that car in 1991-1992 to someone in Florida. He is going to see if he has any info on it and call me. He said the motor was a replacement CE motor. I am getting closer!!! He was not sure of the cars history. Jeff
