I'll have to check, I never really noted if the whine is constant or not. The date on the gears match the range which would indicate they are original to the car, so I guess if they have been improperly set for long enough they may be worn. Thanks for the info, I've never really been up speed differential stuff guess nows the time to start.

Would a bad bearing cause excess clutch chatter or grabbing???? [/ QUOTE ] Shouldn't...throw in some posi additive (preferably the GM stuff)...like 68Cam says above, clutch issues are different than a whine.
