| leaf spring clamps

Question, can you run leaf spring clamps on the street and still have the rear springs perform normally .? Would like to avoid wild spring wind up during "sprited" acceleration runs and don't want to install traction bars (too many nightmares from ripping them up on raised sewer caps back in the day)Thanks mucho

Sully, Your TB's used to hit the manholes? NAH! You must have been on a construction site or jumping curbs in those days! Put a nice set of Lakewoods on that bad boy and be done with it! Paint them yellow too. |

Back in the day Sammy, they were putting in sewars all over the South Shore of Long Island, roads were hammered and they took thier sweet ass time getting the roads back in shape, didn't have the modern whizz bang paving systems they have now and the roads stayed cruddy/bumpy and lumpy for a while. Besides I am going with the Stealth bomber look. Who saw the F22 Raptor over the beaches of LI this past weekend. Absolutely unbeleivable what that plane can do, Blue Angels werent't shabby either. C'mon who has the clamps already.?

Phil Brewers 68 Nova also has them as well as a piece of flat stock above the longest leaf to help prevent spring wrap up.. Tommy |

The old article on the Gibb/Harrel Novas shows the spring clamps being installed...shouldn't be too hard to replicate.
