Here's a good one for today

This is from Bill's dad's photos. That's his friend and racing buddy Frank. (that's their race cars in the background)

Here's another picture of Frank.

This photo appeared in the local newspaper in 1952 when he, along with a group of other rodders, wanted to build a drag strip so they would have a safe and legal place to race.

The street you see in the background is Gratiot Avenue in Roseville, Michigan.

Thanks Juan!

Something kinda cool happened since I posted those photos of Frank. I meet his grandson Scott! (he came into my store). Unfortunately, Scott never got to know his Grandfather Frank as he was in a fatal accident about 7 years after that photo was taken. He told me that he found his wedding ring (you can see it in the photo above ^) while cleaning out his aunt's house (she recently passed away) and that he was considering having it sized so that he could wear it.

I asked for his e-mail address so I could send him some pics of his grandfather. One of the pics I sent was this one of his Grandma & Grandpa:

Scott’s been back in the store since then and showed me that THIS pic is now the wallpaper on his phone. How cool is that?
