[ QUOTE ]
I'll say it again: THIS IS THE BEST THREAD ON THE INTERNET! (I shouted it this time) [/ QUOTE ] I have to agree. It takes us back to a much simpler time, a time we remember but seems so long ago. |

The picture above is identified as Canoga Park's Sears...but I have my doubts. I think it's the Sears in Buena Park... I know that they built stores to all look similar then...but that is EXACTLY what the Buena Park store looked like...right down to the palm tree placement ![]() Hmmm...for that matter, it also looks like the Sears in Orange as well... Aw heck, never mind! ![]()

Holy smokes. This pic of a '68 442 'vert looks to be a part of a collection of photos from what appears to be a '67 or '68 auto show. Based on the location of 442 emblem on the quarter panel, I'd say it was probably a '67 (or earlier) show.
And check out the material on those door panels!!! I think her dress matches!!! And are the inside the exaust tips painted red?? Would love to see some more pics of this if anyone has them. ![]() |

![]() Wow, that photo of Don Garlits shop is very cool! I remember on a family trip to Florida, my two older brothers took me in there, and told the counter person that their little brother was into drag racing. To my brothers surprise, Don Garlits walked out from his office, and offered me a Swamp Rat baseball cap, or a Don Garlits record album. I took the record album, and I still have it to this day. ![]()
