Dog, that one picture with the Arnold's Mens Wear bench has more vivid colors than any old pic I think I have ever seen. Dude, you're amazing with all these old pics, thanks.

We were driving a 50 Buick Roadblaster and went to the Great Salt Lake, Vegas, the Grand Canyon and everything between here and there. We went west on old US6, went through Ely Nevada that you pictured above, went south down to Vegas, visited the Grand Canyon, then took the Mother Road back east. I still have the old road maps we used to find our way out there and back. I'll have to dig out some of the old 35mm slides from when we stayed there. Thanks Dog for bringing back the old memories. Where is that "Dog Rocks" smilie....

It was still there this time last year, only they now have 'vintage' cars (anywhere from the 40's thru the 70's) parked around the lot. You can still rent a room there, or they also have rooms open so that the curious tourist can go inside and see what it was like 'back in the day'
