The '67 Yenko Stormers did not use the '69 style 427 striping. They just kept the usual Z-28 stripes. If you're not looking to be accurate, you could paint it up however you like. There were two blue Stormers and a red one. I think three were all they made.

I'd really like to hear more of this. That is a cool looking racer. |

Thanks for the picture. That will definitely aid in the styling of it.
Would really be sweet to pull up to a vintage race with "Yenko Sports Car" on the rear. |

What made a Yenko Stormer special? Was it simply a Z28 that was campaigned by Yenko or was it a specialty car that he marketed like the 427 conversion cars?

From the literature I have seen it was a car option Yenko offered to customers for road racing. You can google it and come up with some of the stuff out there but there isnt a lot.

I probably will be a little creative in the appearance but like the idea of adding some distinct Yenko flavor to it. Maybe just some Yenko fender badges with a "Stormer" underneath.
Does anyone have any race information as to when and where they may have been entered? I know Don Yenko entered a Camaro in the 69 Sebring event but didnt see anything prior to that in a Camaro. |
