If the pad stamping shows Sept 28th how can the block casting date be january '66?? Thanx for any help. Apr-25-08 A: I don't think it is a dumb question. I have been informed that "I" in the casting date designates September. So that Should be September 23 1966. That is 5 days prior to the pad stamp of the 28th of September. woops...sadly an opportunity to declare "restamped correctly" was just missed

I spoke with Stefano about this car weeks ago. He was very upfront about the stamp and its condition as he always is!
