Joe,

Do you have an original emblem, or image of one, that shows
how they were painted for their initial installation at the
dealership? I'm looking for a pristine example of one at this point.
Are the ones on epay correct in terms of color?

Nuch

The one in the top center of the first pic I posted is an original, with original paint. White background, silver behind the Yenko lettering, blue letters, blue on top, red and white stripes below. Most of the repros seem to be painted correctly. But as Big Steve noted, sometimes they messed up the colors at Yenko... they were all hand painted. The above one is the "standard" way most were done though...

Nuch, Earl just reminded me of something with his post... the 70 chrome emblems for the deuce were painted differently than the 68/69 ones... I assumed you were talking about the pinned/non-chrome 68/69 ones, as those are the ones you see for sale on ebay most often. i'f you were referring to the 70 Deuce ones, the way the ones in MNYenko's post are painted is correct for 70. They are very nice repros too, I have one on the back of my daily driver! Contact him if you need the 70 style. Oh, and thanks for the props Bob... I love this stuff... alot more fun than arguing over prices of cars for sale or who has the last 67 Z/28....

Joe is correct about the ones Earl (really Earl's wife)hand paints. They are very nice. That's what you see on the Moses deuce in those pics of Joe's, and Steve's deuces.

We've seen original Deuce emblems painted at least 3 different ways, Yenko's cheap labor force....
