This one just popped up on Ebay. I thought I would post it as it look interesting. L88 Corvette Project on Ebay Jason ![]() [/ QUOTE ] Hello Jason, The Corvette photos shows a aftermarket style L-88 style hood. The wiper door assembly has been removed to install the 1973 and newer style hood. The car show white paint under the gold paint. The gold paint is not even close to the Riverside Gold only offered 1 year for 1969. The lack of more photos of under hood and engine to show details. Regards, Drew Papsun |

Looking at this auction brings me back about 7 years ago.
Also - to Long Island. I had a client at the time who ownd several "special" Ford high performance cars including a 289 Cobra, a 427 Cobra and two original GT40's. These of course were all parked in his garage. However, outside in the tall grass ( rusting away ) was a 1970 428 Super Cobra Jet Cougar. The owner drove past it every day and was un-moved about its condition. Finally, a house painter working on the estate next door spotted the Cougar and rescued it. According to my client, the painter never did make full payment on the car - but took delivery anyway. ![]() ![]() So - perhaps the L-88 in question is the bottom of the barrel for its current owner. Wish I had a spare $30,000.00 so I could get this baby ( if real - that is ![]()

From the looks of that palatial estate the only thing you'll probably find in the garage is the missing Genovese family mobster Vinny "The Fish" Cafaro

exactly...been many good cars unearthed like this, as we all know the people who leave decent cars like this outside for years love them but dont have a clue on how to care for the stuff...I know if I lived within driving distance I would have allready been there.

[/ QUOTE ] I would say market for this car with docs would be 175-200K to assume discription is correct. Highly doubtful though. Nabors would probably be around 100 although I do not know from experience. |

Assuming the "5" in the eBay auction is supposed to be an "S" (if I recall correctly), there are documented L88's within 10,000 units of this one. Not sure if that matters as much as it does with '69 Camaros. IMO it is still a long shot...
