ok, I called the hot line, your right there trying hard to hide the accent, but I heard him pedalling his bike to stay connected, it just kinda blew me away when the baggage lady mentioned it when I was asking about weights, hell its easy to come up with a couple bags even going sparse if the climate is not warm where your headed about 40/50lbs, I get the extra weight = fuel and them poeple who show up with 3/4 bags 70# each need to pay up. guess we will see how it goes just kinda hit me wrong and pizzed me off they want to charge for a second bag ontop of all the other bs with flying these days, they know darn well you cant go on vaction and make it on one bag per guy...anyway not venting at you it's just rather rude.

dunno whats going on with the cabin workers but there one of the most grumpy hateing life group I have been around on the last few flights and they pretty much let you know it, ...are they getting jacked by there unions??? where did all the babes go??? nothing but gay guys and 50yr old crabby pot belly grannies around...

Try this to avoid checked baggage charges, take your bags with you to the gate, like it's going with you as carry-on luggage. When they tell you that you have too many bags to carry on, ask for then to "gate check" them. They don't have the ability to charge fees at the gate.

But they do when you go to claim,as I had to do this at Phoenix Sky Harbour,Southwest Florida International,O'Hare & Midway airports recently due to my misjudgement.
Each time my extra bags were held back from the others after landing and I was approached by an attendant asking me to follow them to a customer checkout counter.
I had to pay them then & there or no bags for me.
They are a savy bunch.
