Default Slots (wheels)

Just wondering what brand and size are on this 69 Yenko Chevelle? I love the look of those wheels on that car.

Shor, you want to take this one. i believe the fronts are 15 x 3 1/2 and the rears are 15 x 7. the tires are taller than what was run on the car . we had 29 x 12 firestones and the good years were 30 x 11.5. i could be wrong though. Shor will be chiming in soon .

Those are indeed Ansen Sprints. Shor has a huge collection of vintage pictures of the car that were given to him by original owner Nick Morocco. While looking at the pictures, one stood out over all the rest to us. The car sporting those beautiful Ansens. So the hunt was on for period correct wheels. The skinnies were scored at GM Carlisle and the rears came from my personal stash. Big Steve had the mint NOS center caps and the look was complete. We then duplicated the window decals to reflect that day. I feel its a fitting tribute to the car, its original intent, the original owner, and of course the new owner Shor. This car just drips nostalgia. Something you will never get with some new Chinese bodied wannabee...BKH

I really like the look of the skinnie's upfront with some meat out back. Right now on my 70 I have 15x8 and 15x5 Welds which i've had since 89, would like to find a set of these period correct wheels though. I love the stance with those wheels.

Pretty sure they did---they did have the special oblong lug slot inserts and a beautiful Satin finish ---I got mine in the early '70s and got rid of them ,in a weak moment, around 90/91 since they were 15" and I was going back to delivery conditon of my car...
There you go he beat me to it....
