Are there any original pics of a Douglass/Yenko with the Yenko stripes? I'm seeing several nice pics of D/Y cars without stripes, but with emblems - but....

I've never seen any early pics of JD Yenko's with Yenko stripes either...(Except for the Shor/Morocco Canonsburg Chevelle) Interesting that both JD Yenkos in the vintage pics have Yenko badges and hockey stripes rather than Yenko striping.

I think it would be almost impossible to find a JD Yenko with Yenko stripes since there are probably only 10 found and none have original paint. Both theese pictures the cars already had a paint job and what body shop would have known where to get a stripe kit back then since they were not reproduced like they are today.. My first Yenko was A Cannsburg Yenko sold at Jack Douglass and was repainted in 1973 at that time the stripes had to be painted on since no one knew where to get a stripe kit back then in the Chicago area.

Folks were able to obtain yenko stripe kits quite easily, and well into the '80's. They were a standard catalog item.

With the Yenko emblems originally placed up in the middle of the fender by JD, wouldn't that interfere with where the Yenko stripes would go? Maybe original Yenko emblem placement is an indicator of if the cars were originally striped or not.
