Default Re: Old T-10...help id??

I saw no VIN stamp on the case (and I wouldn't expect one with that date).
WK2133 is the assembly date stamping
W= Warner Gear
K= Oct.
21= 21st day of month
3= 1963
3= 3rd shift

I'm not saying that trans is "worthless" at all; just not correct for any restoration. That T10D-1 case is the best (latest) version of the 1st design T-10 (before the Super T-10). The countershaft and drive gears were wider and mostly a hi-nickle content. The main shaft is still (and always was) the weakest link. The output end tended to twist easily right in front of the yoke. Before buying any used early T-10, always shove an output yoke in the tail end. IF it doesn't go all the way in, the shaft is twisted, possibly so much that it's cracked. So factor that in on your purchase price.
