Funny car guys use water based paint because it ends up being lighter, due to no primer/sealer needed I believe?

He spent 1/2 a day weighing toner from both water and petro systems and there are to many variables to conclude which one weighs less. As far as benefits, I believe some time in the near future most if not all shops will by law have to use water based product. Where we are located my boss chose to switch due to air quality permits. I've been spraying water for almost a year and it works and looks great. I don't see any down side to using it. Joe
