Regardless if you wait for funds to hit your account, all a seller has to do is contact paypal and tell them they dont like the color of thier purchase[2 months later to boot]. the second they tell paypal that, your bank account or paypal account will be accessed by paypal[remember you signed up and gave them that right]. if you dont have the money in your paypal or bank account you get booted from paypal. meanwhile the buyer has your item and doesnt have to pay for it. The ONLY defense is to keep a 1.00 bank account balance and a zero paypal balance, and remember the second someone pays you again with paypal the MAN will take whats owed him out of your payment. Thats why paypal asks you to contact them FIRST before calling your CC company if you have a problem with your purchase. It gives them a heads up to go after the sellers bank account balance and paypal balance to make sure they get thiers in the hopes the seller doesnt have a zero balance on his bank account and PP account . If the CC company gets contacted first they go right after paypal for the money. paypal doesnt like when you do that to them and they may ban you, even if you were ripped off. Bottom line is the CC company trumps paypal. Thats why Paypal wants everyone to sign up for a paypal CC,so they can run the WHOLE show. Did i mention i dont like paypal????

Agreed.Once I have the funds liquid in my bank account,I then transfer them out of there to get that accounts balance at zero for the very reasons you mentioned.

I was thinking about not using PayPal anymore. I've never been burned, but hearing more and more horror stories I think it is time to ban PayPal. Is there another auction site that is similar to ebay? I was reading ebay forums and there was some mention of a Yahoo auction. Haven't looked into it though. Another thing I don't understand is starting soon, you can't leave negative feedback for a bad buyer. You can only leave positive feedback regardless of what happens.

when all these states spend all the money they got from the tobacco companies, they will go after paypal and ebay next.
they will do just like the tobacco coampanies, and give billions to these states so they can carry on,while the states turn a blind eye.
