That would be cool.
How about Mustangs, Camaros and Challenger T/A's in a new Trans Am series? Heck, dress out a Challenger as an AAR Cuda and a Camaro as a Firebird and you would have a really cool field.

Actually, there is serious talk of the NASCAR Busch series going to the pony cars!
