[ QUOTE ]
The outside is. The inside I am not 100% sure because of heater control cable position differences between Nova/Camaro.

From what I know, there are no differences in the heater control postions between the Nova and Camaro, the dash units were the same, as was the postion of the heater controls...at least when comparing 69-74 Nova to 69 Camaro. Heater boxes should be a direct interchange between these years.

I agree with that Brandon.. I see no difference other than vent style. But a big block box will only house a B/B heater core. The inside dimensions are different..BKH

Like Brian said there is about a 1/4 difference in the heater core area, vrs A small block. I believe he has a picture posted somewhere showing the difference.

The 1/4" diff is correct. I believe the current BB heater cores are 1/4" smaller to fit into the SB boxes??? Yes / No??

I just removed the heater core from Benjamin's car to check the date code - it's original, still had some nice green anti-freeze in it!

I had some old part numbers for BB heater cores and there were some differences in numbers and measurements between Camaro and Nova. I think the 67-68 camaro and 68 Nova used the same one and the 69 camaro and 69-70 Nova shared the other. I believe one is just a little bigger than the other.

What about the inside box for an AC car? Are s/b and b/b different? I used a b/b suitcase with a s/b inside box as I thought they were the same. I bought what I thought was a b/b heater core, and I know everything fit.

The CRG also has a very informative topic on BB vs. SB heater boxes and components.
