I occasionally help unload similar car ships in Tacoma,WA or Portland,OR.
That BMW ship must have gone through a heck of a storm. What with the car strapped down from every direction and brakes set, it would take a lot to cause that much havoc.......

my understanding was it is a dockside accident that occured during the offload process, when cars were not taken off correctly and the weight shifted, it wasn't an at-sea episode... I think they unloaded the lower decks before the upper decks... or something like that
