kinda sounds like marine-tex, a once popular 2 part epoxy that won't let go.?

I can't seem to load pics but if someone will let me e-mail to them i'll gladly send a pic of my original cut motion emblems in the valve covers & a pic of one taken out of the covers.Looks like old yellowed out 2 sided tape also will e-mail my motion invoice.Hope to hear from somebody.
