My 569 was pretty krusty when I got it. I had it blasted first then I followed the advice of Kwhizz and Cumby and used the Eagle Mag Wheel Etching Cleaner. I took a full bottle and the intake to my local manual car wash and soaked it with the cleaner, let it sit a bit and then powered washed it clean. I did this a few times till the finish looked even. Then after it dried real good I took a fine green scotch brite pad and buff it out. I think it turned out great. Let me see if I can dig up some pictures...
