Default Re: Anyone have a "hook-up" at Holley/Hooker

I had a black set (Hookers) on my '68 427 Corvette back in the late 70s. As I recall I paid a little over $200 for them. They're still tucked away in the attic of my garage but the collectors are rusted beyond repair. They lasted exactly 13 months! (But in their defense, I drove it in all kinds of weather; even snow.) Slide in mufflers are long gone too. I bought new collectors and thought about repairing them but never did get around to it.
Sure sounded sweet cruising about 60 MPH with a 3.70 gear.

The guy who lived behind me had a chrome set on his '75 Corvette but I'm certain they were NOT Hookers. Custom maybe? Who else made them at that time?
