I see the 198's go for about $1,500 on ebay all the time. They have really jumped in value in the last year for some reason.

I have an old magazine from 1976, The Chevy Bible, it has a parts and pricelist for HiPerf parts for big and small block engines.
It list a #3947083 Manifold Asm, Open Plenum under carb. L88, ZL1. Price $173.00

They also list #3947084 As a High riser divided plenum for 396 and 427 Street engines $155.00

The list also has L88 shortblocks for $875.00

If only one had bought a bunch of those back then, good investment.
