Default Re: 1969 z28 rs crossram

ay ay ay...you guys are brutal....give the guy a chance...I was born in Philly myself and have scrounged around that area myself for years...there are still a few cars out there..believe me...but, 99.9% are in a garage or you cannot see from the road...I am a Land Surveyor, so often I get to go into peoples back yards where you cant see the cars from the road...I also peek into garage windows too when I am working...believe me, if you can see it from the road, atleast 1000 people have knocked already...but there are a few still hidden away...

As far as 2000 original miles not meaning a thing ... whether this car exists or not is irrevelant...I would sure rather have a 2000 mile ex-racer than a 200k mile ex-racer...It sure means something to me...

And the x-ram story...who knows...but when I spoke to the original owners brother of my JL-8 car, he explained that when he and his brother went to buy the car, they had 2 Z-28s on the lot...one with a x-ram in the trunk..and the JL-8 car that his brother ended up buying...They decided to buy the JL-8 car because they went right out and bought an aftermarket x-ram and installed it on the car much cheaper than the dealer mark-up for the x-ram option...I really believe his story because when I bought the car from the 4th or 5th owner(cant remember) he offered me an old aftermarket x-ram intake and carbs for an extra fee that he said he got with the car when he bought it ...The sellers story all came together a few months later when I got in touch with the original owners brother..

Remember that if this story is true, the original owner is going from memory only...the original owner of my low mile 67 Z ex-racer told me a ton of stories..some are probably not totally exact, but the main idea of our conversation is probably close to reality...(and yes, I already did post pics...my car does exist..hehehe)..and I too videotaped our conversation (with his permission of course)

at this point if I were the current owner of this car (assuming this story is true), I would not even return to this website based on the treatment he has recieved...I am a skeptic myself..but this story sounds a lot more reasonable than the floating hemis or the ZL-1 motor in the dually...as I said about that story...time will tell the truth..lets wait a while longer and see...

just my .02

Didn't Jay Leno find a Duisenberg (sp?) in a NYC parking garage?
Lets give this guy a chance to show photos of the cars...

No offense, but your opinion sucks.

Why is everyone being so harsh?

What stinks is not the story, but the posts from some of you.

That reply is offensive, is unwarranted.

If this car was full of pine needles and green then I know what car it is, and the Philly burbs don't count as Philadelphia.....

Guys I dont understand some of you. These statements about miles is getting out of hand. My opinion and ONLY my opinion is when a car is so badly rusted and everything has to be replaced and everything has to be rebuilt then 2000 miles on the odometer does not mean anything. ISNT THAT TRUE?? Why cant some of you grasp this? This is the case with this car. Its my understanding after talking privatly to some people who know the car and know BIll they say it was in sad sad shape. The car is almost done now and I dont think any of you are going to see any pics of it before is was resurected. I could be wrong but we will see.. That was my only point. I dont have anything against Bill but I think he is hyping it up with Atlantic city coming up with no documentation.
Forget taping the guy. Get him to sign an afidavit to all of this story and have it notorized so if it turns out to be a story then the new buyer will have some recourse against him instead of the seller.

is it me or am I crazy...according to GTODON, I am assuming that we have established that this car does in-fact exist...and I assume if there are people here that knew this car they would surely be first to come forth and let us all know that it is not really a Z....can anyone confirm for all of us that they knew the car prior to the new owner purchasing it.....or am I really crazy ive been told so a few times!!!
