I am the friend that Sam mockingbird812 is referring to.

Thank you for all the information. I just purchased the car and am arranging transport.

Could you also give me your input on this 64 442?

Thanks,
John

This looks like a sweet car as well, no substiture for ogiginality. The Intake carb and breather have been changed. Not sure why. Otherwise car looks great. I feel their price is a little rich for this one. See what a healthy offer will do.

How would one determine if the engine is original on a 64? Is there a VIN# stamped on the head? What location?

I have extensive pictures of the undercarriage. Looks in 'very' good condition.

Thanks,
John

-----John,,,The 64 442 is an extremely hard car to find in good condition. There werent many to begin with and they were a bit underpowered compared to other muscle soon to join the group. Because of this they often seem to have bigger non-original motors or they are modified in other ways. Forget paperwork like shown here as it is generally non-existent. I have been looking for a good original 64 442 for quite awhile. With all this said,,,I agree with the mention of this car being a bit overpriced as well as what has been mentioned as being incorrect........Bill S

Thanks for the input on the 64. The seller has the original intake and carb. I might try and make an offer.
