Not sure, but I'd almost bet an endura is heavier than a chrome bumper... if its got any weight advange at all, it ain't much. It was marketed more for its alleged resistance to damage if bumped than as a lightweight upgrade... Somewhere I saw a cool old commercial for the endura bumper where some lady drives around town running into something every time she parks her camaro...of course never hurting the front end due to her "resilient front bumper". If memory serves me I think it was a rally green RS. Maybe someone can find it on youtube...

At some point I am going to install mine on the Yenko.

Has anyone actually seen this referenced by Chevrolet as "Endura" in any vintage printed materials,or even by any salesmen back then?
I've seen it called "Urethane","color matched" even "Astro"-(in Canada),but nothing else. I have Pontiac literature marketing it as "Endura",and guess the hobby just carried it over..

That's because when BWAG was driving it in its SS/EA trim back in the 70's, he never ran into the next guy in the staging lanes in Ohio or the Gators!
