No. An L72 was an L72, regardless of what trans was behind it, solids and 425 hp. I think that story got started because of an ad Yenko ran in 67 when they were still doing transplants, listing the auto at 410 hp with hydraulics.

That's what I thought, but didn't know the origin of the urban myth. Surprised that the owner of the TH400 Yenko allowed that mis-information to slip through.
