Default 69 Z Stripes

------Hey guys,,,Does anyone have or can anyone point me toward some pics of original paint 69 Zs. I am specificly looking for any pics of the fade of the stripe under the trunk lid and hood areas. Want to have my painter roughly duplicate the crudeness if you will. Also wouldnt mind a good close-up of the stripe up against the rear window of a non-vinyl 69 Z. This would be the later dimension version stripe. Thanks in advance for any help!!!.........Bill S

I have some pictures. I need to email them. I just went thru the same thing. However the stencil kit was not very good and I have to redo below the rear glass. Look at the links in this thread over at TC.http://www.camaros.net/forums/showthread.php?t=120737

Sorry I don't have any pic's for you. I was looking at Hoopers book " The 69 Camaro ref book" There are a few B&W shots in there showing the stripe overspray fade under the trunk lid.
If you keep in mind these stripes were masked then painted with the hood and trink closed, so they could be very unsightly.
As far as the rear stripe on a 69. It should be 5/8" from the rear trim, vinyl top trim or rear window trim. By the way the diamension given in the Assy. manual at the rear trim is wrong.
There are alot of old threads over at CRG and Team Camaro too, if you want to do some searching.

Here are some. I am sure there are plenty more examples out there.

-----Thanks Darren and Mike. Darren,,, I guess the one thing I could take away from your two pics is that the cowl appears to have been taped off, and the mask tended to lean one way or the other over the edge. Is that a recurring theme???......Bill S

Bill
I looked through a bunch of old print photos I had and found a few original 69Z's.
It looks like the rear stripes ended with a overspray pattern.
However, as in the pic's posted here I believe the front cowl was taped off at the bottom edge.
