If I remember right a Chevelle air cleaner has 5 cut outs inside the duct where a Camaro has 4. That is a Chevelle duct a Camaro has a flange on the top mounting it sits on the top of the firewall.

A chevelle would have used the same one as a larger car like an impala. They weren't exclusively for Chevelles.
Greg Cullum who is a member on this site has a couple of these and he could probably ID it for you.

Zedder. Terrytown Steve on the site has an original one off a 68 impala if I remember correctly. It looks the same to me but if he will chime in that will clear this up for you
take care Joe

Hi Guys,
Here are some shots of the cowl plenum duct off my 68 427 Impala.

For some reason, the metal A/C base in your pictures looks different from mine. I will get it out later and compare it to your pictures.

Steve, does that plenum fit both the Holley and Q-jet carbs?

Hi Rob,
I laid the base over a Q-jet and it fit perfectly with no interference. The carb however was not on an engine. I would assume this one would work on a 385HP engine, becuase I recall Jon Krogh telling me a while back about a 68 385HP SS427 that had this air cleaner originally. After comparing mine to the one in Zedder's pictures, I see that mine is identical. I think the air cleaner bases are the same for all applications, and the duct is the difference.
