[ QUOTE ]
Had a busy weekend. I got the nose (fenders/header panel/emblems) on the ElCamino. They are nos fenders, but still had some fitting issues, but after working on the adjustments well into the night, I was finally happy with the fit. I really have to wonder how these cars were built so quick on the assembly line. Also put all the window mechanisms in the doors and installed the front light harness. Various other little things. Anyway here's one pic. ![]() [/ QUOTE ] Bill, Its safe to say that....No 1969 El Camino left any assembly line in the U.S. back in the day....looking and fitting like your El Camino looks today. Not many people understand the hours it takes to properly fit a car as we make them fit today....if you look at any all original untouched car....most would agree that the fit and finish was not a major quality control back in 1969. Bill...FYI, The side stripe will take you just as much time putting it on as your front clip.... especially if it is your first time. I know the outcome will be very nice. The truck looks Great ![]() ![]() DAn.
