Jed, I didn't do anything special to the drive shaft. I removed the old u joints, blasted the drive shaft and the yoke, then primed and painted the drive shaft with a stainless steel paint. The yoke was painted with cast iron paint. Then I installed new u joints, somehow, without scratching anything
I was thinking of having the drive shaft polished and leave it natural steel, but it's gonna be sitting for a while, so I didn't want to take the chance of rust devolping. ![]() |
