-------Two things I wonder about in the Linda pic.

-------1. Where is that Hurst Nova today???

-------2. I see a whole lot of Cragar going on there. Are Hurst wheels all done by this point???.......Bill S

The Hurst wheels were pretty much toast by 1970. I wanted a set for my 69 Catalina and they weren't available through normal speed shop channels. If I knew then what I know now, I would have done some different searching.

I remember reading years ago that because of the dismal sales of his wheels George Hurst had donated hundreds of them to the government, and they were used as filler material in runways poured by the Air Force at a base in the midwest.
Anyone else remember anything like this?
Or just urban myth?

Man, you just can't do better than Linda Vaughan in her prime. I saw her at B-J this year (with Tony Stewart on her arm) and she still looks damn good.
