Would love to see pics of both the Big Block and Small Block 0- heads...

Do you know any history on your small block heads?

At the moment my heads are at Jerry M's aluminum repair guy..The one head had a prior repair that was really ugly...the only thing I know about them is that there was a pic. of a motor years ago on the cover of Hot Rod I believe with these head...they were for nascar i believe...a precurser to the fuelie...One real interesting thing about them is that the exhaust manifold bolt holes in the heads are at 45 degrees to each exhaust port centerline..they dont line up straight across..Someone would have to make custom flanges for headaers to work...When I get them back I'll post a pic....that remins me...its been a while...I'll have to give Jerry a call...

does anyone have that magazine??

Sorry to hi-Jack this thread, but the same o-dash prototype heads that I own are on the cover of the 1979 Hot Rod magazine on a motor that they built...it doesn't mention or show much...just that they were made for the '63-64 Trans Am Racing'...did they have Trans Am racing in 63?? They must be for nascar I would think?? Or were thet using all Big Blocks?? Anyway, the article does mention the 45 degree bolt pattern on the exhaust ports, the 8-bolt cast aluminum valve covers...and a few other differences from original steel heads.. anybody ever see these heads before?? I have seen a 59 dated pair of aluminum heads..but would like to know the history on these...I did call Jerry M. to check on the repair work he is doing on my heads, but he is aparently at the SEMA show...I will post pics of the heads when I get them back from him... anyone have a copy???

i tried to post a copy...butttt????
