Is that a Hurst dual gate console? Nice car. Love the "mail box" hood. Didn't know the redline was 6K. That has to be the highest in this torque monster.

Good luck guys!

Killer Car!!! Very Nice.......

I always liked these cars. A guy I knew when I worked at the local gas station in high school had a real one and used to race it around town.. Car was quite fast from what I recall.

Were the fenders, trim, hood, decklid and doors removed for the repaint? Was the car taken down to bare metal?

the car was down to bare steel, we did remove the fenders to paint them properly.because all of the side moldings had to come off, but the doors stayed on we had removed the interior panels access the fasteners, the original bumpers were removed and reinstalled, we also kept the original emblems that we removed, the claimed nos ones that brothers sells are a little different,

He is right, the H/O crew was scouring the car! My friend who is the '69 H/O advisor and another friend who has a OCA Senior Preservation car (both of whom where running their cars) were all over that car. I was in amazement at all of the things that were being documented.

As for an original, unmolested engine in a H/O with 3.90 gears........UNHEARD OF!!! The repaint is very nice, the upholstery is an immaculate original, I did not look at the exhaust pipes but my guess is they are original. Considering how this is truly a piece of rolling history, it may take a certain level of intestinal fortitude to keep the engine as is. Beautiful car!!!

Thanks for the comments Rusty, it was great to meet you in person. This guy took very good care of his cars, we bought the quicksilver 68 hurst from the same person, 28,000 miles and it to is numbers matching engine and trans, hard to believe but true,
