Lets try to keep the replies more positive. While I am a neutal party here and seldom get involved in bashing cars or there owners, I will say this. The car is what it is. A NOM 69 X44 COPO from Reedman Chevrolet. One of 4 ordered in consecutive body numbers. The buyer did his homework before he hit the "Buy it Now". I picked up the car Monday and took it to Reedman on my way home. I spent an hour with the General Sales Manager talking about his 47 years with the company. He sold alot of performance cars back in the Musclecar Era. This just may have been one of them. ![]() [/ QUOTE ] My comment was not meant to be specific about the particular owner(because I had no idea at the time). Below is a comment made by a poster on another site about the recent trends in the hobby and felt this car could potentially be a prime example based on the lack of provenance. We as hobbyist have a responsibility to insure the integrity of this hobby and preserve the pedigree of these historical cars. "These, apparent, scandals involving cars being sold without payment, cars being represented as something they are not, cars having major rebody work done, and cars being restored with equipment or parts they never had, in search of a big pay day assaults my sense of right and wrong. I believe it distorts and destroys the history of those cars. In my opinion, this is WRONG! I believe that all of us, fans and collectors, have an obligation to correctly preserve and protect the pedigree of these cars. To use these cars, as a source of outrageous monetary gain, is despicable. To create a car, for that same purpose, is outrageous." We need to be careful as I stated previously that cars don't miraculously morph into something they are not. WE ALL COULD BECOME A VICTIM.

It's actually too bad that reedmancopo came on just to be a jerk to people for simple comments made about a car no one knew about. We see cars for sale on EBay all the time that are just a joke.Fake docs..BS stories etc. This looks to be turning out to be a cool find. Would have been nice to hear more about what the car really is instead of just bullshit from the guy.The car was only for sale for like 6 hours...thats a ton of homework to get done in that amount of time. Congrats anyway if it is what they suspect.
