".....border line "Supercar" muscle car..... "

Folks keep trying to combine the 'Supercar' with HP/torque stuff. This site allows the 'Supercar' status to stand behind performance oriented COPO's and dealer modified stuff - it can be a stinger corvair, a yenko vega or a ZL1 Camaro.

The mainstream will forever debate the definition of 'muscle car' by attempting to put 'power' numbers around it. However, I think the best def. was simple: "a powerful engine in a light body". With all due respect. I'm using my own definition of a "Supercar". Not this sites (which I understand and respect). If you want "Supercar" status. I believe high torque, high horsepower is a must to start. That's just me.

Of course a Z is a muscle car. Just not a "Supercar".
