This one is special, my friends told me. Suicide reardoors and stainless steel roof. Mabye 100 made ?

I which I had a better picture of this Chevelle. It has a very nice paintjob from the seventies, and a "Winters" tri-carb intake.

There's a local 'urban legend' about some stainless roof '57 Chevys too. Maybe this is what they're confused with.

Dennis, years ago I remember reading in Cars & Parts about the El Morocco 56/57 Chevys...could it possibly have been one of these that urban legend came from?.

Yeah I've known about the El Moroccos for years but the "local" car was rumored to be a "special production" Bel Air Sport Coupe, with a prototype engine. The car just sold last year and at the time of the sale the rumors were quelched once and for all. Just a standard Bel Air, and the engine wasn't anything special either,...... however there were some F.I. parts in the garage with the car.

Just another case where stories grow everytime they're passed on.
